Savvy Selections
Canada's wineries delivered to
your doorstep
 Accredited Sommeliers of The
Savvy Grapes continue to taste their way ‘across Canada’,
sampling wines from Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario & British Columbia.
We continue to be impressed with
the diversity of styles and quality of Canadian wines. Every year, new
wineries open, adding to the 300 plus wineries in Canada. The challenge is…Where do you
begin your discovery of Canadian wines?
Together with Canadian wineries,
The Savvy Grapes have developed
the Savvy Selections.
Each
month, The Savvy Grapes will feature one Canadian winery and have three wines
that are not available from your local wine store (LCBO or SAQ)
hand delivered directly to you at home or at work. We
include the Savvy e-Zine (view a
sample) with background about the winery, an interview with the winemaker, Sommelier wine tasting
notes & suggested recipes to enjoy with the wine selection.

the wine selection:
- Each wine will range in price from $12 to $25
per bottle
- The wines are not available from the LCBO or
SAQ
- all VQA wines.
How
the Savvy Selections works
At the beginning of each month,
your wines will be delivered to your home or business. The cost of the
wines plus the winery's nominal shipping charge will be billed to your credit
card by the featured winery. The Savvy Grapes will notify you by email when to expect your
delivery. Please note that at this time, shipments can only be made to an
Ontario address.

There
are three delivery options to choose from:
1. Share a Case – The most cost
effective is with a group 2,3,4 or more to share the cost of the shipping
of a case (12 bottles of wine). 25% of the total cost of shipping will be billed to each person’s
credit card.
2. SINGLE Pack – Receive a shipment of the three selected wines.
The winery's cost of shipping will be incurred.
3. SIX Pack – Receive a double shipment of the three selected
wines. The winery's cost of
shipping will be incurred.
What
will the cost be for the Savvy Selections?
The monthly cost will vary depending on the wine selection and winery’s
shipping rates. The cost of
the wines will not exceed $25 a bottle.
To illustrate, in May, Malivoire
Wine Company was featured. The
Savvy Grapes Sommeliers selected the following wines:
- 2004 Pinot Gris VQA, $18
- 2004 Chardonnay VQA, $22
- 2004 Gamay VQA $16
TOTAL COST OF WINE = $56
Malivoire's shipping charge: $12 (NOTE: this cost varies based on the
winery)
The cost for each options will be:
1. Share a Case: $56 + $3 shipping = $59 per person
2. SINGLE Pack: $56 + $12 shipping = $68
3. SIX Pack: $112 + $12 shipping = $124
When
will the wines be delivered?
Shipments will arrive the
first week of each month. Send your subscription form
to The Savvy Grapes by the
1st of the month in order to begin your subscription that month.
For example, subscribe by August 1st and you will begin receiving the Savvy Selections
starting with the August featured winery.
How
to get started?
Simply complete the subscription form
& email it to The
Savvy Grapes or call in your subscription to (613) 851-1785. We request that all customers commit to a minimum of a six month membership.

This is a great way to enjoy
Canadian wines with work colleagues, business clients, friends,
neighbours, dinner clubs, sports teams and the list goes
on...
